The harpsichord and long sustained electronic tones in the background of songs make me nauseated pretty quickly. Other times it's not unpleasant (e.g., one of my friends has voice that is kind of soft and low and feels grainy in the back of my throat, and it looks like a fig just to the right of my chin. LOLįeeling other peoples' voices in my throat can be unpleasant (e.g., Lorde's "Royals" song, where her voice is thick and choking and I feel like I'm slowly sinking under very dark ocean water and looking up at the surface, but the water has the viscosity of baby oil). (Last night, reading The Lorax with my son, I had to make him say the word "Thneed" every time it came up, because it gagged me slightly less when he said it than when I did, and I could stretch it out of my mouth AS he said it rather than pausing to do it after I said it). I rarely feel anything on my face, but I do feel some voices in the back of my throat, and certain words get stuck in my mouth when I hear them or say them and I have to stretch my mouth to get them out.
